Where did Zaporizhzhia’s city hospitals go?

We often receive questions about what happened to some of Zaporizhzhia’s medical institutions and why familiar hospitals now have different names.

Since 2022, the city has been undergoing a process of healthcare optimization as part of Ukraine’s healthcare financing reform. As a result, several medical institutions have been merged, reducing the number of separate legal entities. However, the hospitals themselves have not disappeared or relocated — most of them continue to operate at the same locations.
