Art schools in Zaporizhzhia have been officially renamed

For several months, students, parents, teachers, and residents who wished to participate jointly chose new names through an open public discussion. The community’s shared opinion became an important part of the process, with the final decision approved by the Zaporizhzhia City Council @zaporizhzhia_city_council

Now, each of the 13 art schools bears not a number, but the name of a person who made a unique contribution to Ukrainian art.

In this way, our city honors outstanding cultural figures and helps new generations learn more about those whose legacy they continue.
