Can art be found in a paper plate, a piece of glass, or a chance glance from a stranger?
It is from these seemingly insignificant things that the exhibition "Porthole. Pensioner" by Ukrainian artist Viktor Pokydanets @viktor.pokidanets was born.

During the BIRUCHIY residency @biruchiy, in the historic setting of Gulich Tower in Zaporizhzhia, the artist began to look more closely at the city. A round porthole window, paper plates from a local café, shards of glass found on Khortytsia, and people he encountered on the streets - all of these became part of his new project.
Viktor Pokydanets works at the intersection of painting, installation, and object art. His art emerges from observing everyday life and finding beauty where it most often goes unnoticed.
