Today, during the full-scale war, we often demand more of ourselves: to be productive, to keep going, to help others, and to always hold it together.
But the truth is that making meaningful changes requires energy and resources. If we are running low on them right now, it doesn’t mean we have become lazy or lack motivation. Constant tension, anxiety, and worry drain us far more than it seems.
That is why we shouldn't compare ourselves to who we were before the full-scale war or to what we see on social media.
On International Self-Care Day, we want to remind you: self-care doesn’t always have to look picture-perfect. Sometimes, it starts with simple things — getting enough sleep, eating a proper meal, taking a pause, learning first aid skills, or supporting those who protect us every day.
Self-care isn’t about trying to create a perfect life; it’s about listening to yourself in time to replenish your energy.
