Our memory is both responsibility and a connection across generations.
On June 22, 1941, one of the most tragic periods of the Second World War began for Ukraine, leaving a deep mark on history. We must remember the millions of fallen soldiers and civilians.
Decades have passed, yet war has once again returned to Ukrainian soil. In 2014, the annexation of Crimea and armed conflict in eastern Ukraine began. Thousands of people lost their lives defending the independence of our state. We must preserve the memory of them.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion. Ukrainians continue to live in the harsh reality of loss, destruction, and ongoing trials. We must recognize the price our nation pays for Ukraine’s right to a future.
Today and every day at 9:00 a.m., we bow our heads in memory of the victims of past and present wars. We honor those whose sacrifice has forever become part of history.
Eternal glory to the Heroes 🙏
