On the 19th of September, we will meet on the Ethno Stage with a music band KHORTA. The band, which represented our city at dozens of Ukrainian festivals and created the song, which became the unofficial anthem of Zaporizhzhia.

The band KHORTA was created in 2004. It included members of the band Speedway (Andriy Loboda, Yura Yurchenko, Yulia Kutsenko), and members of the project Modern Crow (Yuriy Volodkov, Mykhailo Savitsky). In 2006 the band released they first official album “The Songs of the Freedom Island”, from which songs clips (“Cuckoo”, “Life goes on, brother”) were shot.

The significant song for the band became “It's Zaporizhzhia, It`s Ukraine”, which was loved by listeners and became the unofficial anthem of Zaporizhzhia.

The band represented our city at dozens of Ukrainian festivals: Mahno fest, Tustan, Rock Sich, Nivroku, Zaxidfest, Ethno Summer, Banderstadt, Taras Bulba, and others.
