Museum of Phenomenal Power

Share
The Museum of Phenomenal Power is a modern and stylish museum space that tells about world-class sports achievements and victories of Zaporizhzhya athletes.

The exposition especially emphasizes the names of 7 legendary athletes from Zaporozhye, who became part of the world history of sports. You will find them in incredible portraits created especially for the museum by the famous Ukrainian artist Oleksandr Korban in his own unique style.

They are really phenomenal people:
▪️ In 1977, Zaporizhzhya athlete Volodymyr Yashchenko set a world record in the high jump. This height is 2m 35cm.
▪️ Gymnast Olga Strazheva won the gold medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics at the age of 15.
▪️ Yakov Punkin is a Zaporizhzhya Greco-Roman wrestler from the fantastic way of life. He won his main awards, including Olympic gold, after tragic life trials

For what achievements Volodymyr Yashchenko has forever engraved his name in athletics
What are the most complex elements Olga Strazheva performed for the first time in the history of gymnastics (by the way, one of them is currently banned for its extreme risk of injury)
What tragic circumstances befell Jacob Punkin and why his history of sporting achievements strikes to the core - we tell in the Museum of Phenomenal Power.

Next week the museum is open:
December 27-30 - 10:00 - 18:00
December 31 - 10:00 - 17:00
January 1-3 - weekend.

See you at the Museum of Phenomenal Power
