The legendary Andrey Makarevich will perform at the Zaporizhzhia Jazzy festival with a new project Yo5

Andrey Makarevich will perform at the Zaporizhzhia Jazzy 2020 Festival with a new jazz project. The new Yo5 project features songs from Time Machine and its leader's solo programs. The Zaporizhzhia Jazzy Festival will be held April 25-26 at Metallurgical Park. Free entrance.

"A master knows the limit of money," Goethe wrote. Andrey Makarevich has been engaged in jazz for fifteen years, and at least a dozen musicians came to the stage with all his projects. The Creole Tango Orchestra started modestly, seven - but soon enough it grew into a big band with a full brass section. And "L.O.V.E - Love Songs", "Yiddish Jazz" from the very beginning were created, there were not only brass bands, but also several vocalists! And now Andriy Makarevich has decided to take the next step and try a new format. Antithetical.

"I always thought that the clearer the idea, the less visual means it required. It applies to any kind of art. And in general, if you had to play minimalism before, it was mainly because you were no longer able to. Now the picture is different - these musicians are very skilled, so their minimalism is not forced, but conscious "- Andrey
In the new project Yo5 together with Makarevich on stage, Eugene Borets - piano, Sergiy Khutas - double bass, David Tkebuchava - drums and Timur Nekrasov, who is responsible for all wind instruments.
