National Salt Restaurant Award. 2019 winners announced

The National Salt Restaurant Award for the first time introduced an initiative of popular vote, during which Ukrainians could personally choose the best restaurant in the "Opening of the Year" nomination. The finals in the other categories also included the Zaporizhzhia restaurants.


We will remind that in 2019 three Zaporizhia establishments were presented in three different nominations of the prestigious award.

In the nomination "Best meat restaurant" - Bull Butcher & Wine. Donuts Workshop is no longer the first to get a Best Street Food nomination. "Lounge Cafe Monica Belucci" was presented in the nomination "Best Country Restaurant".



The winner of the "Opening of the Year" nomination was the Kharkiv restaurant "Thoughts Aloud".

The Best Coffee Bakery - Living Bread (Lviv)

The Best National Cuisine Restaurant - Chichiko (Kiev)

The best city cafe - "Dizyngoff" (Odessa)

The best country restaurant - "Fabius" (Kiev)

The best fish restaurant - "Odessa Restaurant" (Kiev)

The best restaurant at the hotel - "Comme il Fault" (InterContinental Kyiv)

The best bar - "Benedict Daily Bar" (Kharkiv)

The best meat restaurant "BEEF meat & wine" (Kiev)

Best street food - Divine Tacos (Odessa)


The best coffee shop - Foundation Coffee Roasters (Odessa)

The best wine restaurant - "Vino e Cucina" (Kiev)

The best pastry shop - "Milk Bar" (Kiev)


Best beer restaurant - "This is Pivbar" (Kyiv)

Best Asian Restaurant - Spicy NoSpicy (Kiev)

The best wine bar - "Win Bar" (Kiev)

The best restaurant of Ukrainian cuisine - "CANAPA" (Kiev)

The best pub - "Varvar bar" (Kiev)


The National Salt Restaurant Award was established in 2013 and is a major annual event for restaurant industry professionals and guests who are actively monitoring the development of the restaurant business in Ukraine.

The main quality mark awarded to the winner of the award is the copper frying pan of the French brand de Byuer.

The members of the jury of the award include leading experts in the restaurant industry of Ukraine and entrepreneurs: leaders of Ukrainian associations of chefs, restaurateurs, experts in highly specialized areas (bakery, bar industry, in the field of coffee, wine, beer, confectionery).
