Ukrainian speaking guide appeared at Belvedere

Ukrainian speaking guide works at one of the most famous museums in the world from Nov. 1st. The project is the long-lasting initiative, which was started by the Ukrainian institute together with Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria this summer.


Ukrainian speaking audio guide is now available for visitors of Viennese palace.

CEO of Ukrainian institute Volodymyr Sheiko says: ‘Through projects of such format can be outlined the Ukrainian identity in world and, in particular, in European context, since, for example, last year Belvedere was visited by 1.5 million tourists. And I’m sure that while increasing links between Vienna and Kyiv the number of Ukrainian tourists will also increase’.

Thanks to ‘Ukrainian speaking audio guides in leading world museums’ initiative, Ukrainian speaking audio guides are now available in National Museum in Poland, POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.


Belvedere Museum in Veinna is one of the leading world museums. Its famous collection of art includes works, starting from Middle Ages to present days. Austrian art in worldwide context is presented at three locations. Museum exposition includes the biggest collection of Hustav Klimt’s paintings in the world, and also outstanding works of periods of Viennese Biedermeier, Austrian Baroque, Vienna of 1900 and French impressionism. The main tasks of the institution are concentrated on exhibiting, investigating, collecting and preserving. Permanent achievements and digitalization in all spheres confirm the fame of Belvedere museum as an outstanding museum of the future.
