Opening of a renovated library in Khortytsky district

The area of ​​the library (187 sq.m) is divided into several zones:

- baby-book - a play area with a carpet for the youngest, where children can get acquainted with books and their characters, play educational games and attend classes on early development;

- media hall and 3D coworking for events, lectures, which is equipped with cascading podiums for comfortable accommodation of library guests;

- teenager-book - a zone of a modern information and educational center for teenagers and a lounge-zone for young people;

- biblio-cafe, where the highlight is the rack located along the large panoramic windows.

This is the ninth new library in the city. The book fund of libraries is not left without attention either. Thanks to the city's program to renew library funds this year, UAH 2 million has been allocated for the purchase of new literature. Contemporary Ukrainian literature, literary and foreign translations, children's and school, literature on self-development and psychology were purchased.

They also purchased literature for an inclusive library - 46 copies of books in Braille and 67 books in large print for the visually impaired.

One of the priorities of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Zaporizhzhia City Council is the active implementation of computerization and digitalization processes in cultural institutions. Today, the city libraries of Zaporizhzhia have an automated system "E-book", which has greatly facilitated the work of librarians, readers can independently search for the necessary literature online via the Internet from any gadget.

All services in the city libraries are provided free of charge, free access to the Internet is provided. In addition, there are coworking areas, trainings, meetings with writers and publishers, workshops and many interesting events.
