Facade of the Center for Contemporary Art @artcenter.zaporizhzhia (151 Sobornyi Avenue)
Today, it is difficult to remain detached from current events or ignore everything happening around us.
Every day, we ask ourselves countless honest questions:
What is happening?
How do I feel about it?
How do I respond?
Can I change anything?
Or do we simply pretend that nothing is happening and that life continues as usual?
But the question of war does not disappear.
There is the external war — the one where people die and lives are broken.
And there is the internal war — the one taking place within each of us: against the fear of change, deeply rooted principles, and established ways of doing things.
Each work is a separate image in which military equipment, human bones, and various symbols intertwine to create a new system of meanings. At the heart of this series is always the human being — a witness and bearer of memory, through whom war takes on a human dimension.
