Ivan Gutnik-Zaluzhny Square

0 7 0

This square is named after Ivan Gutnik-Zaluzhny.

He was a lieutenant, an ATO volunteer originally from Zaporizhzhia, and died in 2014, saving 50 brothers. This is a Hero who defended Ukraine to the last, and the memory of him continues to live in our city.

His grandfather, Ivan Anikeevich Zaluzhny, was an example for his grandson. He lived to be 103 years old and during this time made a great contribution to the defense of the Motherland from enemies both at the front and in the information direction against the propaganda attacks of the aggressor.

This family is a vivid example of the continuity of the struggle for Ukraine through generations.

We continue to remember the feat of all who bravely defended the right of Ukraine to be free and independent. Our present, our opportunity to live on our native land is their merit.
