Address
27, Troitska Street, Zaporizhzhia
The synagogue building was constructed in 1898 as the second Jewish prayer house in the city. In 1909, it was officially renamed the Central Choral Synagogue.
The building is designed in the eclectic neo-Gothic style. The architect creatively used and stylized the techniques and forms of Gothic architecture, creating a distinctive and characteristic image of the religious building.
It is known as the Leshchynsky Synagogue (named after the synagogue warden Yakov Isaakovich Leshchynsky, who had a revenue house nearby).
In 2021, the building was included in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine as a monument of local architecture.
