Address
1, Maiakovskoho Ave., Zaporizhzhia
In the second half of the 1920s, the square with which the alley begins was given the name Teatralna. However, a visit to Zaporizhzhia in February 1928 by Volodymir Maiakovskyi made adjustments to the name. In 1968, the first small fountain was opened on Maiakovskoho Square.
In October 2004, stone ethnic sculptures located around the Life fountain were presented to citizens. Exhibitions of artists in the open air have already become traditional, where you can not only see interesting paintings, but also purchase them.
In 2018-2019, Maiakovskoho Alley was reconstructed, which stretches across Peremohy Street to the Rainbow Cascade of Fountains. A wonderful resting place now has new benches, modern street lighting and a tiled road.
A large number of cozy restaurants and cafes located along the alley are popular with city residents. Luxurious trees, towering on either side of the alley, give it a special charm. Here you can spend your free time with family and friends.
Interesting: since 2015, it has already become a tradition to establish the main New Year tree of Zaporizhzhia precisely on Maiakovskoho Square.
