On the western coast of the island of Khortytsia over the Old Dnipro, on the territory of the dispensary Zaporizhstal a granite rock rises on the wall on which, during the construction of the dispensary, in 1935 two picturesque gazebos were built.
One of them is still preserved and rises on a cliff above the river.
During the war years, most of the health institution and one of the gazebos were destroyed, but one miraculously survived.
Now, when the dispensary is working again, this gazebo still rises well above the river surface of the Old Dnipro.
From here an incredible and picturesque view opens up on the riverbed, cliffs of the right bank, and on the Baida island, which shares the channel of the Old Dnipro.
From here it is good to admire the sunset, when the evening sky is beautifully reflected in the water.
Since the time of construction, the gazebo has become a favorite vacation spot for many residents and guests of our city.
Newlyweds come here constantly during weddings, and this has already become a good tradition. According to the gazebo, the name Swallow's Nest has become popular among the people, by analogy with the world-famous gazebo on the edge of a mountain cliff in the Crimea.
You can get into the gazebos through the territory of the dispensary Zaporizhstal, or the path leading here from the Karakay beam or from Touristic beach along the coast.
