Arboretum - can be called a paradise of the island of Khortytsia, which became its bright decoration and wonderfully fit into the natural landscape.
Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Rubtsov took part in the creation of the park’s project, who took part in the development of such well-known natural objects as the Gryshko National Botanical Garden and the arboretum in Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve. Some trees planted here were brought from the Nikitskyi Botanical Garden in Crimea.
Thanks to a special selection of plants, the park looks beautiful and special in all seasons.
Being an interesting attraction of Khortytsia, the park includes individual elements, each of which in itself has become a sight of the park. Among them are a juniper forest with very clean air, Sunny meadow in the park’s most open place (a sundial is planned to be installed here), an oak alley, and the Alley of lovers from magic spirea bushes. The arboretum on Khortytsia can be visited at any time of the year, in any weather - there is always something to admire. The reserve’s staff also commissioned an interesting excursion to the arboretum, during which you will learn many interesting facts about the history of this park, its interesting features, and the species diversity of trees, shrubs and grasses growing here.
