About the place
The monument is located at the intersection of two main streets of the city - Sobornyi Avenue and Metalurhiv Avenue. It was installed as a sign of the completion of long-term reconstruction work in 2002. It takes the form of an 8-meter steel spire.
The monument is decorated on all sides with metal patches. These are samples of products produced by metallurgical enterprises in Zaporizhzhia: steel, cast iron, aluminum, titanium. Among the metal pieces, logos of plants and metallurgical enterprises are also present.
This installation symbolizes the hard work of hundreds of thousands of metallurgical industry workers of the industrial city, frozen in metal.
