At the beginning of the 20th century, banking business was actively developing in Oleksandrivsk (modern-day Zaporizhzhia). This process was accompanied by the establishment of private banks.
In 1904, the bank "G.A. Nibur & Co." appeared in the Khortytsia colony, which financed Mennonite enterprises. The founder of the bank was Herman Nibur. Later, in 1914, the bank was reorganized into a Bank House. Before expropriation in 1919, the Nibur commercial bank had a charter capital of 5 million rubles.
This is a one-story building constructed in the traditional brick style of the late 19th century. The concise and restrained appearance of the building is not devoid of decorative elements. The building is adorned with a wide cornice belt at the top with protruding rows of brickwork.
Later reconstructions were carried out in a style close to the overall architecture of the building. All additions led to the disruption of the initial symmetry of the building.
