The Museum of the History of Zaporizhzhia Cossacks is located in the north of the island of Khortytsia and is part of the Khortytsia National Reserve.
On the roof of the museum there is an observation platform with a breathtaking view of the DniproHES - a true architectural work of art of the last century, which is the hallmark of the city of Zaporizhzhia. The DniproHES has a particularly impressive appearance in the dark, when the dam illuminated by the lights is reflected in the water. Before the construction of the DniproHES you can see the tops of the famous Dnipro rapids.
Near the museum is located the Historical and Cultural complex Zaporizhzhia Sich. This is a unique complex that reproduces the image of the Cossack capital and the atmosphere of the times of the Cossacks. Today Zaporizhzhia Sich is one of the most popular places on Khortytsia among visitors.
Another attraction near the museum is the highest flagpole in Ukraine, which was installed in 2011 on the Independence Day of Ukraine. Its height is 35 meters, and the area of the flag of Ukraine on it is 50 square meters.
Thousands of photo postcards were made from this observation deck, hundreds of selfies from this location daily find their followers on social networks, because the incredible beauty and atmosphere can not leave anyone indifferent.
